As the Subaru Newport Beach Jazz Festival’s top priority is to create a healthy environment for all attendees, whether they be music fans, musicians, or staff members, please anticipate that we will be requiring either proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test prior to entry.  We reserve the right to change our policy in accordance with changes regarding COVID-19.  Please stay up to date on our eNewsletters, website, and/or social media pages for updated policies closer to the event.

In order to gain entry into the 2022 Subaru Newport Beach Jazz festival, all attendees will be required to bring one of the following:

  • Proof of full vaccination:
    • In order to be considered “fully vaccinated” you must receive your final vaccine dose 14 days prior to your first entry date. The last day to receive the second shot of Moderna or Pfizer, or a single dose of Johnson and Johnson is 2 weeks prior to the festival date.
    • A photocopy or photo on your phone of your vaccine card is sufficient.


  • Negative COVID-19 Test
    • Negative test must be obtained within 72 hours prior to attending.
    • A photocopy or photo on your phone of your negative test result is sufficient.
    • Test results must include person’s name, type of test performed, and negative test result.
    • Home tests will not be accepted
    • Masks will be encouraged for attendees not vaccinated


Do I need to wear a mask?

OUTSIDE: (Including the Festival grounds): In general people do not need to wear masks when outdoors. However, per CDC recommendations, in areas of substantial to high transmission, people who are not fully vaccinated are encouraged to wear a mask in crowded outdoor settings or during activities that involve sustained close contact with other people who are not fully vaccinated. INSIDE: Unvaccinated individuals are required to wear masks indoors. Masks are not required for vaccinated individuals, but are encouraged when inside.

Do I need to provide vaccine verification or a negative Covid test to access the Festival grounds?

Yes, prior to exchanging your tickets for wristbands, you will be asked to provide a vaccine verification or negative COVID-19 test that has been taken no earlier than 72 hours prior to arrival. Any antigen or PCR test will be accepted. Home tests will not be accepted. The negative results will need to show your name and the date the test was taken.

What forms of vaccination proof are considered acceptable?

One of the following is an acceptable form of proof of vaccination: 1) COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card (issued by the Department of Health and Human Services Centers for Disease Control & Prevention or WHO Yellow Card1) which includes name of person vaccinated, type of vaccine provided and date doses administered) 2) A photo of a vaccination card as a separate document 3) A photo of the client's vaccine card stored on a phone or electronic device; OR 4. Documentation of vaccination from a healthcare provider.

What forms of negative test results can be used?

The following are acceptable as proof of a negative COVID-19 test result: 1) A printed document from the test provider or laboratory 2) An electronic test result displayed on a phone or other device from the test provider or laboratory. HOME TESTS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED ***The information should include person's name, type of test performed, and negative test result

Will I need to provide a negative test result for each day that I will be attending the event?

No, the negative result provided to receive your wristband during your ticket exchange will remain valid for the entire weekend.

When and where can I exchange my tickets for wristbands?

Tickets can be exchanged for wristbands at the below location and times: Thursday 6/2 Shuffleboard Court (located adjacent to the lobby) from 3pm-8pm Friday 6/3 Shuffleboard Court (located adjacent to the lobby) from 12pm-10pm Saturday 6/4 and Sunday 6/5 Main Gate or VIP Gate 8am-6pm

Can I pick up tickets for my friends or family members?

Each ticket holder will have to be present for ticket exchange. You cannot pick up wristbands for other individuals. Wristbands will have to be secured by our staff at the time of the exchange

Will Covid testing be available onsite?

No, testing will not be available onsite. Please ensure that you plan accordingly. Find a testing center close to you: CLICK HERE
